So Wii is fun. But is Wii a piece of unnecessary consumerism?

  3. yes

  4. it’s a short, it’s a simple response, but heck, you can’t help but admire the honesty. :P
where are you looking to Rent Becstar? Timmy and I are finalising our place today, and we’ll be jumping on the rental bandwagon too! [at least till we manage to save some sort of deposit]

    Since you say yes…

    Can Wii be redeemed?

I’m asking for practical suggestions for an ethical validation of the purchase of Wii.

  6. Wii means we don’t go out for nice dinners for 6 or so weeks.

  7. As you’ve already paid testament to the fun of the Wii Gerry, you’ll no doubt recognise that as well as being fun, it’s a very social thing to do with people. The reason we’d bought the Wii was because we’d had a great time with Beth and Brian (a couple of our friends) when we’ve spent evenings playing together. We can also see the obvious usage of our Wii with the youth teenagers. Playing Wii together helps build friendships and community.

That’s the best I can do.
