*What chaos ensued from posting these! The beauty of it being another asking the exact same question that started this ball rolling, “Do you like your glasses?” Followed by a rather amusing discussion around identity which I got to listen in to.

Do I like my glasses? Well to say one thing I have absoultely zero choice in wearing them – I really do have to or I’m oh so blind it’s not funny. I think I have simply accepted them as part of my life and it’s never really been a huge deal. I would’ve gotten glasses when I was about 10 and probably needed them before that. As for contacts, that does happen to be next on the agenda. Considering I’m due to go get my eyes checked/new glasses I was planning months ago on getting them (if my eyes are suitable). Why? It’s not that I feel like I’m something lesser *snigger* as one of you hypothesied in a round about way, it’s more that I’d like a change. To be honest the if the response is anything like a few reactions to those photos, it freaks me out slightly. I prefer to blend into oblivion (okay not always). Self image issues fortunately have been muchly avoided by an overactive mind and I don’t know what else – I can’t give the secrets away when I don’t know them. I’m grateful for it and I’ve been informed that it’s really rare. So I’ll take that as a compliment and leave you to work out who exactly is the deglassed Rebecca by yourself.

Anyway for those who ACTUALLY THOUGHT IT WAS A DIFFERENT PERSON STARING AT YOU FROM THE BLOG PAGE AND HAD TO READ TO SEE WHO, there’s another up on flickr, which my or may not look any more like me.

Well, it’s going around. This is what I got without thinking too hard about the questions:

Just a quick thought before I wander three steps to the left and in to bed… there’s much to explain about the day but it can wait.

As Geoff mentioned, this morning Peter and Kathy (pastors at my church – wow, it feels strange and nice to say ‘my church’ if you can exclude the proper definition for a moment) announced their resignation. This news has far less impact upon me than it does upon others who have been involved in the church for a much longer time. There’s still part of me that still feels vaguely, cheated. Having come relatively recently from a chuch that fell to pieces, as little change and as little bother was sort of what I was looking for (oh, and community, just in a huge way) – however selfish it sounds.

What’s remarkable, on the flip side of it all is the circumstances surrounding the changes. Here is where things vastly differ from what I’ve experienced before – the leadership that is moving on has not been shoved out the door, not been belittled and hounded and hurt and slandered – this is a choice and God is very much involved. Everyone still thinks the world of Pete and Kathy, and what they’ve done through God’s leading I’m definite, is nothing short of wonderful.

“Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. ”- 1 Chronicles 29:11

It’s good to know God is the head over all, no matter what happens. His intentions are beyond our understanding and his ideas are far greater.

Dad failed to tell me that the guy had come to pick my dog up. There’s one way to build resentment if I ever saw it.

There is always some surprise and hesitation when I spin out posts like last nights, “Always” – it often doesn’t seem to fit the mould of what I write. It’s good, but feels too simple. I’m not sure.

Google Analytics sent me the invite code finally so BEWARE you are being tracked (you already were if you didn’t know it) – stats junkie.

The guy is meant to come and pick Job up today. He hasn’t gotten here yet. I sort of wish he would and just get it over with. I don’t think it’s going to be quite as gut wrenching as leaving Kira overseas, having Muffin die in front of me or hearing the news that they’d gone and ‘disposed’ of Monty because he was too stupid (he was too stupid but thats not the point).

I have made up my mind to instead of flaunting my own very boring other blog links in the sidebar (well Read and Blue serves it’s purpose) that I’ll start linking to a few I read. The question is, which ones? My bloglines is overrun with approximately 70 feeds – some I grant are old. I think those that qualify at least will be:
