After I get my Nikon D90 D80, I am going to build myself a lightbox. Handy thing to have and I definitely could use one.
This is a reasonable looking ‘DIY’ version.
If you know of any better diy versions or suggestions of types of light globes to use (because I don’t have excess income to get such luxuries as a proper flash) please leave me a comment.
Note now that I have done minimal research thus far. I will share any finds.

The current state of the world in regards to school logos is utterly appalling. Every designer should cry, and cry and cry some more, and then get busy in doing something to remedy the situation.

This is my branding project (so a uni assignment) as it so happens, it may or may not result in my final solution being used as their new logo. They have other designers at work.
So I have the privilege of creating ‘new’ identity for my lovely old school to draw it out of the 90’s and into the light. I had a meeting with the principal this morning. Now it’s all heads down to work (I currently only have one of those… so it’ll be working triple time).
The shields in 95% of school logos are the only thing protecting the stakeholders getting shot. No more freaking shields!
My heart skips to the Nikon D90. I am starting to investigate Digital SLR options (finally). Of course there would be this sweet newness just as I start looking… now to find out where I can cut other expenses so I can maybe, possibly justify it. I probably need to settle for something that costs a little less? I also need to go and hold it in my hands before I buy… who knows if my pathetically small hands can take it.
I’m also not so sure about this HD video option… sure it’s kinda cool but also rather a strange concept… no, it’s just all cool. And just so nice.
I want one, unless that wasn’t obvious before.
