Ready, set in my ways

pm-30342-medium.jpgHalf a thought as I was going to sleep last night about a certain strong (perhaps?) characteristic of my personality.

This is something I’ve only begun to realise with a few insightful comments from someone very close to me, it’s something I am sure has been going on for a very long time.

Much of it has to do with me being quite stubborn.

If I go into something with a particular mindset, my experience will be totally determined by that minset.  This of course usually works to my detriment and is possibly a driving factor in whole lot of things like – why I don’t like dancing…

This has also bought me to the realisation that my mind is very, very powerful.

Not in a creepy way. More in a ‘mauhahahaha’ way… or maybe that is creepy?

But what good I could do with it?!

    I’m sure you’ve heard the old gag…

Its all about mind over matter: If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.

but yeah… its a helluva tricky one innit.

One of my lecturers always used to love dropping the line “often, the way we see the problem, is the problem”.

I love how you can shift the emphasis around in that sentance to give it a couple of different meanings.

Frequently I find myeslf preparing for an interview or a conversation trying to think of all the right things to say… and not of all the right things to be… conversely, in the times when all I get right is my attitude… the right things to say seem to think of themselves.

How much more difficult and yet empowering, to be the change the world needs, instead of just saying the change the world needs!

Wait… I’m still talking… oops betta go do some being… wait be some doing… no both of those sound kinda wierd.

Can you tell I’m an expert (on not)? ((or did you allready know?))

    :o)
