Brings me back to pondering whether we have a really good theology of sin!? Falling short? Certainly. Malicious or wilful behaviour? Certainly not. How responsible are you for your subconscious might become: how able are you to respond.
God grant me the courage to change the things I can,
the grace to accept the things I can’t,
and the wisdom to know the difference!
I guess it depends also on whether the idea of something being sin means that you feel condemnation, or perhaps whether you feel conviction without condemnation.
