Happy belated five years blogging to myself and this fine, old, lovely, often changing place.

It’s peculiar coming to the end of a year – a year I have yet to really reflect on – and not really knowing what next year holds in terms of work or friends or what living in a completely different part of Melbourne looks like. I don’t dislike the changes but I do prefer things to have a bit more of a lid on them. I’m not so comfortable in limbo land.
For Christmas Geoff bought me From Sometimes which is a conceptual book of postcards. I am inspired to find a mechanism to write down small things.
I truly love the new Imogen Heap CD Ellipse. Here is a youtube clip of ‘Wait it Out‘, do listen.
As the title says.
There are lots of cupboards, a dishwasher and a pantry, a garage we can fit our car into and fruit trees. Geoff can walk to work and it’s like a 2 minute drive to a decent shopping centre and also a exceptional woodfire pizza place that does free home-delivery. We have internet now. The orange walls are kind of more reddish/pink/orange than the bright orange I remembered. I have not yet put up the Christmas tree again. We’ve done lots of unpacking, although I need to work out how to deal with all the books. There are lots of cupboards.
Photos to come.
Had to laugh. Tonight I was at our favourite local restaurant (although not local for much longer. Sad!) with Cat, Nina and Mandy and a waiter/manager comes over to me near the end of our meal and asks me if I am Bec… I thought he might’ve known me via Geoff who is a regular and knows a couple of the waitress there, but no – apparently I have a ‘fan’ at the Firehouse. Now all I have to do is to work out how to get free food!
hehe (hello). Thank you for reading, especially all the current drivel.
Super food btw. I had goat and quince ragout and then a trifle with fairyfloss for desert. And Mandy picked a smashing wine.
