I have come across a problem with this blog.

If you happen to be trawling the archives, you can only go back to a previous page once, maybe twice. To access older posts you have to manually insert a higher page number into the URL. This is annoying me, it’s as if the posts don’t exist.

Likewise, if you click a category, it displays 2 maybe 3 posts and gives you no ‘previous post’ options. Frustrating!

You cannot separate the ‘display x amount of pages’ in your archives from the number of posts you display as ‘new’ – which for the sake of loading and neatness, I’d like to keep to a minimum. If this wasn’t a linked setting then I’d simply adopt, ‘display an entire months worth’ for the archives.

Any fixes anyone? I’m fairly sure it has to do with the template I use but there’s got to be some way to change it.

designI’ve been reading this blog: In His Courts, lately. I first came across it when Makeesha commented on a post of mine on Advoc8.

It’s probably not the best time to link to it (due to the small proportion of younger readers and in fact the larger population of readers like me who are not married) BUT she does say some good stuff on Church, Christianity, culture… and I’m going to forget later on.

And while I was link hopping, I found FreeDerekWebb.com, it’s interesting concept and you can get some music out of it, I have yet to really listen to it but who knows… might hit on a winner?

While I’m at it, lots of the little design things I use to make these posts more interesting (In case my writing fails to suffice) come from Print&Pattern.

I’ve gone and done it.

Revamped the Myspace I made about a year ago.

Why? It’s such a pathetic blogging tool. I’m attempting in some selfish way to point people towards here and I would like to be able to comment on the occasional space myself (you are required to have an account).

Don’t expect blogs to end up there. They stay here. I like this spot better. The backend is horrendous. The power behind an idea (so says the expert) – it certainly isn’t behind the design.

Secondly

Right. To appease the masses, the header now links back to the homepage of this blog. You wont see a little hand showing you that it’s a link – to find out why this is so (if you are so intrigued) it is something to do with Java Script and Geoff did it so I have no clue.

Secondly. I was under the impression my first exam was next Monday. It turns out that it’s actually on the Thursday. I did know it was on the 2nd – not sure how I got the day, day wrong. Which means at least one possiblity has opened up… (maybe I will come see you preach Paul).
