Blogging Culture Life Post of the Day Work

This won’t be relevant to maybe 90% of you, but for my work’s web-site I’m after a post notification plugin i.e. you can subscribe and get sent an email each time there is a post.

I’ve tried two wordpress plugins: subscribe2 and postnotification and I can get neither to send the emails properly (or even at all).

RSS is all very well but you can’t necessarily send it via email, can you?

If you know of anything, or a work around I would greatly appreciate it.

I should tell it all in pictures. Unfortunately I didn’t have my camera with me for a staff afternoon of hotbox frisbee and tippity cricket, or my cousin’s hens night – and rocking up to a rollerskating rink in 80’s bridesmaid/bride(for her) dresses, and skating with them on – now that was fun. Not exactly me, but it was hilarious and no one broke anything.

Along with all that I’ve also been keeping busy at my cousin’s bridal shower, my friend Mark’s wedding (Beth came in on a Ute!) (photos below and on facebook) and a 12 hour marathon and I’m not exaggerating, of making bridesmaid dresses (photos below).

Better posts to come, as always.

Life Wedding Work

Back in July I talked about my first paid design gig. The invitations went to print quite a while back and I’ve finally received copies.

The invitation as a whole is fairly comprehensive – four parts. The formal invitation, event details, a reception details card and an rsvp card.

They’ve been printed beautifully – I didn’t arrange the printing for this one, as she knew a printer and got a fairly good deal on some verkotype a kind of heat/emulsion process of plastic wax where the pages go through twice so the text comes out raised. I’m fairly sure this is a less expensive method than embossing.

The seal was also turned into a wax stamp for closing the envelopes.

If you are after someone to design wedding invites or other, then please shoot me an email. I do not do this formally so availability and pricing are available upon request.

Today I worked totally and fully from home. Here’s to Internet access (even if it’s sometimes incredibly slow)!

I think that my productivity level was fairly consistent with what it is when I’m ‘in’, hence I am pleased.

Tomorrow I have to be in at 7:30am for a work-breakfast.
