I post there occasionally, this was one of my ‘originals’ by way of blogging. A dumping ground for thoughts of other people (mostly wiser than myself) so it’s got a few gold quotes in a collection that is infinitely expandable.

I realised just today that I didn’t even bother linking there from here so I’ve remedied that.

Like Read and Blue, I’ve pulled it out of Blogger and into WordPress and had a bit of fun designing a girlyish/vintagey template for it. I am miffed that the template that I used to base the design on doesn’t support widgets, so I guess I shall make myself learn how to do that. It will undoubtedly be fiddly but really probably highly beneficial.

So please visit:

and if you have any wonderful pieces of advice by way of quote, please leave them lying around conspicuously.

Read and Blue has a new home!

I have traditionally (and will continue to) use this blog as a personal tracking ground for what I’m reading. So if you like books or are simply curious as to what’s going into my head (junk or class) then take a look.

vegthanks.pngWell it appears that I really shouldn’t make rash promises about posting on a particular topic as I don’t seem to be very good at following through.

Today’s excuse – I spent my time further compiling my folio for my interview on Friday. I’m getting more pleased with it as I go on. Double sided tape is the worlds best invention since the toilet. I have a few more pages to put together and some short titles and explanations, but I should be all set.

As for not getting to this, well, I had far better things to do! Geoff and I went out for tea and then I ended up tagging along to Andrew and Cathy Day’s place as he was showing them some WordPress skills for the website of the church they pastor – Mountain District Vineyard. It was good fun helping (a bit) and chatting!

So I take it back about letting you know about what I had to recant about and you may or may not ever find out. You might just have to live with the short version.

“I am a cynic and I was proven wrong”

…but you’d probably already worked that one out!

Blogging Church General Life Relationships

A couple of days ago I glanced quickly at a blog post that I’d written and was somewhat horrified to see that I had started almost every paragraph with I.

Not only does this display a very poor variety of sentence structure but it strikes me as being altogether self absorbed.

Now I would like to give you the opportunity to let me know what you like reading on here. It is incredibly easy and mindless to write about my day and about me or I or whoever.

So if you could comment on this post and vote in the side bar (as soon as I get it up) then I’d appreciate it.

By way of posting something today (as anything overtly interesting has not yet come up) I am going to point out some of the blog posts I’ve ‘Starred’ in Google Reader over the past month or so. So you get a list of stuff that’s made me think. I get a reference point and can clear the space up for more ‘good reads’.
